1) How can I play .avi (Xvid) files?
To play these files properly you can use a variety of softwares. The best options are Media Player Classic and VLC Player (both are free and opensource softwares).

2) What are hardsubs?
"A video with hardsubs means that the subtitles have been rasterized and burned into the video. When you play the file, the subtitles will show up, regardless of whether you want them to or not. The subtitles are essentially part of the video." (Credits to jholic @ D-Addicts)

3) Can I redistribute your files?
